Dancing at the Old Lighthouse, Cabo San Lucas

I first worked with Grecia a couple of years ago in San José del Cabo. Grecia is a skilled ballerina, and ended up going to Guadalajara to study dance. She came home for Christmas vacation, and we arranged to do another ballet themed shoot. Her family managed to get access to El Faro Viejo, the original lighthouse built in 1905 when Cabo and the tip of the Baja peninsular were truly a frontier location. The lighthouse fell out of use and is in poor repair and a newer, higher one still operates in teh vicinity.

Now, the lighthouse sits surrounded by the ultra luxury development of Rosewood Residences, old Lighthouse, part of the Quivira community. Access is therefore very difficult and we needed to be escorted at all times.

As the sun dropped on a clear blue sky day, and with a highly constrained timetable, we created some lovely art in this unique location
